Michele Koch will be presenting Sallie Mae's successful approach to deriving business value metrics by quantifying the impacts to generating revenue and avoiding costs. My hope is that our lessons learned with help others in this area since I know how difficult determining metrics can be.
Some of the topics that will be covered include:
- Our methodology for determining business value categories
- Assigning business value status criteria ranges
- Deriving business value calculations
- Generating our DQ dashboard
Michele Koch is the Director of Enterprise Data Management and the Data Governance Office at Sallie Mae. Michele was responsible for the successful design and implementation of the enterprise Data Governance and Data Quality Programs at Sallie Mae. Their Data Governance Program won TDWI’s 2010 Best Practices Award for Data Governance and the international 2011 Data Governance Best Practice Award. Michele received dual masters’ degrees from The American University and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
